
SCHOOL HOURS--8:30am-2:45pm. Students should not arrive at the school before 8am. Children may enter classrooms at 8:15 am. Breakfast service begins at 8am. Lunch service is at 11am on Campus 1, and 12:00 noon on Campus 2. General OFFICE HOURS 7:30am to 4pm.
SIGN-OUT OF STUDENTS: We strongly encourage you to schedule appointments for your child outside of the school hours. If you must pick-up your child early, please go to the office, sign out your child.
VOLUNTEERS We are delighted to have volunteers assist us at CRCCS. Please remember that all volunteers must undergo a yearly background check (paid by CRCCS) before being allowed to help with children. All volunteers must sign in and out in the front office when they are on campus. Please contact the school about volunteer procedures, and please understand that this can be a lengthy process.
FOR THE SAFETY OF YOUR CHILD, WE MUST KNOW:
MEALS Breakfast and lunch will be served by the Putnam County School District. Meals will be hot and nutritious, but children will not be given a choice of menus. Money will be collected on a daily basis as the student is served or parents/guardians may prepay for several days in advance. PLEASE SEND MEAL MONEY WITH YOUR CHILD. All checks for meals should be made out to the “CRCCS Cafe.” Children who forget their lunch will be provided with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
Breakfast will be served at 8 AM.
Lunch will be served beginning at 11AM.
Parents are welcome to come and eat lunch with their children at anytime during the school year. If you plan to do so, please register in the front office before going to the cafeteria.
Applications for FREE or REDUCED lunch are available in our school office. An application should be completed to determine if your child qualifies.

Students may bring a lunch from home. Our lunch facility is not equipped with a microwave. Please send lunches that do not require heating.
PLEASE DO NOT SEND SODAS OR CANDY A PART OF YOUR CHILD'S LUNCH.
Toys disrupt lunch and should not be brought to the cafeteria.
LICE (Policy)
MEDICATION If necessary, medication can be administered at school. Only personnel trained by the Health Department will administer medication in the school office. The following procedure MUST be followed:
Parent/guardian must bring medicine and doctor’s authorization to front office.

INCLEMENT WEATHER As you have noticed, there are no covered walkways at CRCCS. . Please keep an eye on the weather and provide your child with the rain gear he/she may need to stay dry.
VISITORS Visitors are welcome at CRCCS! We encourage your participation and interest. Please sign-in on the visitor’s log in the school office and receive a visitor’s pass before going to the classroom or any other area of the school.
LOST OR STOLEN ITEMS The focus at CRCCS is learning. Items like Game Boys, Pokemon Cards, toys, CD players or headphones interfere with that learning. Please have your child leave such items at home. TO REDUCE THE RISK OF CONFUSION, PLEASE CLEARLY MARK THOSE ITEMS THAT YOUR CHILD BRINGS TO SCHOOL, ESPECIALLY JACKETS AND SWEATERS.
BUS STUDENTS Many of our students are transported to school by bus. If you want your child to be picked up by you or another family member rather than ride the bus, you must send a written note to the Front Office with your child on the day of the change. When making last minute, emergency changes in your routine, please call the front office no later than 2:15 PM..

UNIFORM GUIDELINES School uniforms are required for all students. Uniforms are to be worn each school day. Uniform guidelines have been made part of this handbook. (Click on the blue "uniform guidelines" title for the guidelines.) Please be sure yours child's clothing fits properly and that a belt is worn when appropriate.
