Spanish

Our students after kindergarten receive Spanish instruction.   We have four educational goals:

                   1. Teach a love of the Spanish language that can extend to other languages.

                   2. Teach the proper sound formation as a basis for good accent development during later study.  (This is the age for best sound mimicking.)

                   3. Give another avenue for cross-cultural learning

                   4. Establish a school environment that supports respect for Spanish skills among our native Spanish speakers.

The actual Spanish words taught are less important to us than the joy the students experience with their mastery, and the native sound production skills that the students develop in the process.

We have been fortunate to have Mrs. Manderville an elementary school Florida certified teacher who is a US citizen but native of Panama as our Spanish instructor.
