Teacher and Support Person of the Year  

"Ms. Mo" (Judith Ownbey) our 2006-7 Teacher of the Year had an immediate impact after joining our staff to direct and teach our science lab, computer lab and PE program. Teachers appreciate her "we can do that" attitude.  She works far beyond the regular school hours to make sure things are done right.

"Ms. Pattie" ( Patricia Hooten-Marsh ) is the CRC Support Person of the Year 2006-07.  Ms. Marsh has been willing to try do almost anything to help teachers and the school, but it seems we found her real love when she was assigned this year to help our volunteer professional librarians.  She loves to get students engaged in reading. 

The Children's Reading Center Teacher of the Year  and the CRC Support Person of the year are selected by the school staff.  It is always a difficult decision.  In 2004-5, in what may have been a first for Florida Charter Schools, our Support Person of the Year was chosen as the Putnam County Associate of the Year.  Each year our teacher and support persons of the year have been of the same quality and deserving of consideration for a district award.
