The Children’s Reading Center Charter School

Parent/Teacher Organization

The CRC-CS averages about a 70% child represented attendance at school meetings. This guardian attendance is consistent with an active parental involvement in the school. The PTO is the group representative of this interest. It backs up the expression of a desire for school improvement with active support.

During the last two years, the PTO of CRCCS has been raising funds for the purchase of new, state of the art playground equipment for our new school. The goal of the PTO is $10,000.00.  As of the PTO meeting in December 2005, they had successfully raised over to $9,750.   This is amazing for such a small school.

Of course, every penny helps, but most important is the attitude that every child should be able to benefit from every field trip and every activity we can offer through the Children's Reading Center.

The PTO wants every parent or guardian to join to give our school the best PTO.

We believe that the best school deserves the best PTO

The 2006-2007 PTO officers elected at the PTO meeting October 24, 2006 are:

President = Alice Keith

Vice President = Michelle Yoxtheime

Treasurer = Gail Lassiter

Secretary = Melanie Wells
