IF YOU CARE ENOUGH TO GO THE EXTRA MILE . . .
For most parents and guardians this just means full involvement in the school and their child's learning, but because we are small and independent we need more from our parents. We require two parents on our board of directors and we need a strong PTO. Many other parents find that they can volunteer to go on a field trip or even be at the school on a regular basis, but attending school functions with their child and being supportive at home by reading or listening to reading are all that is really expected. This is what we usually mean by going the extra mile, but for some even though the PCSB transportation service has been very cooperative, it also means literally having to drive a few extra miles to get to their child to and from the school. If you can go the extra mile. . .
