Facilities Now:
On January 7th, 2008, after literally years of struggle, we were finally able to move the school into the permanent facility of our dreams. The facility was built and is owned by the same CRC Putnam community based not for profit corporation that owns the charter school. It was designed specificly to serve as a safe and efficient place for The Children's Reading Center Charter School to promote learning.
None of the money needed for this building project came from tax money destined to go for other educational projects in this county. Nor was there any 2 mil local school capital tax money or State Charter School Pico funds available. The construction was financed with local effort and a loan and grant from the USDA, Rural Development Division.
